Brewfest 2023 brought to you by Gary’s – Dewey Beach’s Finest Dive!

Spring is in the air! Dewey is springing alive with warmer temps, the sounds of saws and sanders in preparation for the upcoming season, and folks wearing shorts and tanks (when it’s definitely still too cold). All of this magnificently merges to give rise to another quintessential spring event, the Annual Dewey Beach Brewfest!

We are again co-hosting this year’s event with our neighbors and dear friends from Starboard Raw. Due to the success and positive feedback from last year, we will again be hosting the event on a Tuesday, May 2nd, to be exact. We look forward to rubbing shoulders and sampling brews with our fellow hospitality industry brothers and sisters, as well as locals and visitors planning in advance to be able to attend an early May Tuesday event in Dewey Beach, Delaware.

Charity Proceeds & Supporting Our Community

As you know, one of the driving forces behind our Annual Dewey Beach Brewfest is to positively impact our community. Each year we choose a local non-profit to benefit from Brewfest proceeds.

We have selected a very worthy local non-profit to receive this year’s DBBF proceeds, and to add to the almost $55,000 that the DBBF has raised over the years for awesome, deserving, local non-profits! This year’s beneficiary is:

Grass Roots Dog Rescue

Grass Roots Rescue, locally based in Milton, DE, is the “home of the perfectly imperfect”.

Most of us at Gary’s and at Raw are dog owners. We love our pets, and they love us right back. What happens to the pups that aren’t loved, at least initially? This is where the fine folks over at Grass Roots come into help and deploy their loving expertise.

Grass Roots Rescue (GRR) prides itself on the fact that they don’t discriminate against any dog based on breed, age, or medical condition. They don’t shy away from those that are in need of extensive medical care, rehabilitation, or will require additional work and resources.

GRR sees the value in all dogs, and believes each and every canine deserves their own unique chance at a happily ever after.

GRR is comprised of a dedicated family of fosters, volunteers and veterinarians that are committed to making sure the dogs have the ability to transform into the best versions of themselves. They are provided love, veterinary care, and training until their forever family comes along; no matter how long it takes.

As dog owners, as compassionate people, as lovers of four-legged (in most cases), furry, lovable, loyal animals that bark – animals that laugh with us when we are happy and cheer us up when we are sad – help us to help this organization continue to do the amazing work that they do. After covering costs, all proceeds from this year’s event will be handed over to the fine folks at Grass Roots Rescue.
