Summer day camps at Cape Henlopen State Park focus on the unique natural and cultural resources within the park.

Our staff provides a safe and fun opportunity for children to enjoy the park and make new friends. Participants will share such experiences as seining, hiking, beachcombing and other outdoor adventures. Grooving on Cape
June 17 – 21 (4-day camp)
Ages: 7 – 8
Have a great time at Cape discovering how plants and
animals adapt to life at the coast in this 4-day camp.
There will be no camp on Wednesday in observance of
the Juneteenth holiday.

Digging in Cape
July 8 – 12
Ages: 7 – 8
Discover some of the wildlife mysteries of Cape, as we
dig into the different habitats in the park and find out
what makes the coast the most.

Chilling at Cape
July 29 -August 2
Ages: 7 – 8
Find out how the plants and animals of Cape beat the
heat, as we explore different “cool” places in the park.

Cape Explorers

Ages: 9 – 10
Take part in a week of team activities including catching
fish, tracking animals and seeking out the wild side of
the park!
