2025 Lewes Tulip Celebration: A Blooming Tribute to Dutch Heritage

Spring in Lewes is a sight to behold, and nothing marks the season quite like the Lewes Tulip Celebration. Now in its 16th year, this beloved event—jointly hosted by the Lewes Chamber of Commerce and Lewes in Bloom—brings thousands of tulips to life across the city, celebrating Lewes’ deep-rooted Dutch heritage.
While Mother Nature ultimately decides when the tulips will bloom, the festival spans three weekends to give visitors the best chance to experience the floral spectacle. Whether you’re a garden enthusiast, a history buff, or simply looking for a picture-perfect spring outing, this event offers something for everyone.
Where to See the Tulips
With 31,000 tulips and 5,000 spring bulbs planted across Lewes, finding the most breathtaking displays is made easy with the Tiptoe To The Tulips Map.
Where to Get the Map:
- Available in late March at the Lewes Chamber of Commerce’s Visitor Center (Fisher-Martin House, Zwaanendael Park)
- Visitor Center Hours: Monday – Friday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
- Copies will also be stocked in brochure boxes around Lewes’ historic district

History in Bloom Walking Tours
For those who love both history and horticulture, the History in Bloom Walking Tours are a must. This special experience blends Lewes’ fascinating maritime history with a guided look at its beautiful tulip displays.
