About Taco Reho – Rehoboth Beach Dining
In Sussex County, Delaware, Taco Reho began as a modest food truck selling mouthwatering tacos and burritos. But their popularity rose so quickly that they made the decision to create a physical location in Rehoboth Beach in order to spread their positive energy and taco happiness!
Billy’s Journey to Creating Taco Reho
Billy spent a couple summers working with Kevin Reading at Nage Restaurant in Delaware before accepting a job offer to work for Thomas Keller at Bouchon in Las Vegas. There, he learned what the “road to perfection” entailed.
He traveled to San Francisco in search of a culinary school, where the diverse cuisine scene of the Bay Area inspired him to reach new heights of culinary mastery. He met Chris Mitchell, the proprietor of Latitude 45 Catering, there and learned about the interesting industry of rock and roll catering. Billy blended his love of music and his passion for food. He joined the tour, and the rest is history.
Before moving to Los Angeles, he spent six years cooking for a huge number of bands and crews. Just a few of the famous people who have savored Chef Billy’s cuisine include Lady Gaga, The Eagles, Nine Inch Nails, Jay-Z, Black Sabbath, Tool, Blink-182, Miley Cyrus, Justin Timberlake, Michael Buble, Prince, and Jane’s Addiction.
After his extensive travels, Billy was keen to launch his own business. He was still deeply ingrained in the Los Angeles food culture and missed his East Coast heritage and home, so a business idea began to take root in his mind. He saw an opportunity to start something new and intriguing in his beloved Delaware Beaches, so he developed So Cal Street Food to bring West Coast cuisine to the neighborhood where he grew raised. The birth of Taco Reho!
From Black Betty to Brick and Mortar
In only a few short years, Taco Reho’s legendary food truck Black Betty established itself as a mainstay of Rehoboth Beach. Many guests fell in love with the thought of being up close and personal with the cooks as they freshly ground corn tortillas on the outdoor grill. Many admirers desired to replicate the Black Betty experience in a physical restaurant. Thus they acted.
Taco Reho excels where Customers can see the chefs prepare tortillas from scratch at their brand-new restaurant, and they can even see how the tortillas are made by hand. The inside has a rock & roll theme to maintain the festive and lively environment, which is relaxed back and enjoyable. You may order all of your favorites, like their mouthwatering Baja Fish Burritos and scrumptious Pork Carnitas Tacos. If you don’t like this, you can try their well-known Danger Dog. This bacon-wrapped hot dog has a delicious flavor thanks to the addition of black beans, shredded cheese, avocado, yellow mustard, chipotle mayo, queso fresco, pickled red onion, pico, and cilantro.
