Oh My Gourd! It’s Time for the 2024 Punkin Ale Festival at Dogfish Head!

Fall is in full swing, and you know what that means… Punkin Ale season is here! 🍂 Join Dogfish Head for the 2024 Punkin Ale Festival at the Milton Brewery on Saturday, October 12th, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. This FREE, family-friendly event is packed with fun, games, live music, delicious food, and of course, plenty of Punkin Ale to go around. And the best part? It’s all for a great cause, benefiting the Brandywine Valley SPCA!

Why You Absolutely Need to Be There:

  • Free Entry, Free Fun: No need to buy tickets! Come and go as you please while enjoying everything the festival has to offer.
  • Live Music All Day Long: Start your day with DJ @jimshreds spinning records, and then enjoy a live performance from the incredible band Through Being Cool, known for their acoustic emo nights, rocking the stage from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m.
  • Dog-Friendly Atmosphere: Bring your pups along for a pawsome time! There will be a pet-friendly photo booth and some adorable adoptable dogs on-site, courtesy of the BVSPCA.
  • Dogfish Head Drafts & Canned Cocktails: Sip on off-centered ales like Punkin Ale, or try some cider house exclusives from Angry Orchard, including SpiceMan and Sourced From Plum!
  • Fall Festivities for the Family: With a pumpkin coloring station, pumpkin games, and even a pumpkin decorating contest, it’s fun for everyone!
  • Support a Great Cause: All proceeds from the on-site raffle, and a portion of the tips collected at the festival, go directly to the BVSPCA.

  • DJ @jimshreds will keep the vibes alive all day with a mix of records, so feel free to get your groove on!
  • The party doesn’t stop there! Through Being Cool, a fan favorite, will take the stage from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. Expect some sweet acoustic renditions and an energetic set that’ll have you dancing into the evening.

  • Punkin Ale will be flowing out of the Dogfish Head draft trailer alongside a wide variety of other Dogfish Head ales and Angry Orchard ciders.
  • Feeling adventurous? Try two of Angry Orchard’s cider house exclusives: SpiceMan and Sourced From Plum—perfectly crafted to give you all the fall feels. 🍏
  • Not into alcohol? No problem! There will be hot non-alcoholic cider available for all ages, with an option to add a little extra kick at the Punkin Liquor bar.

🎃 Get Creative with Pumpkins 🎃

Ready to show off your gourd-geous artistic skills? Participate in the Punkin Decorating Contest! To enter, create a Dogfish Head-themed pumpkin at home and bring it to the festival between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. Judging will be from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., and the winner will be announced at 5:30 p.m., taking home an epic load of Dogfish Head swag!

🐶 For the Love of Pups & Pints 🐶

During October, a portion of the tips collected at the Milton Brewery will go to the Brandywine Valley SPCA as part of Dogfish Head’s Beer & Benevolence program. The BVSPCA will also be on-site at Punkin Ale Fest with some adoptable canine friends. Looking to make a new furry family member part of your crew? This is the perfect opportunity!

    Nope! The event is free and open, so come and go as you please.
  • Is this a 21+ only event?
    No way! Bring the kiddos, bring grandma, and of course, bring your pups!

    Absolutely! We LOVE dogs—after all, it’s in our name!
  • Will there be beer to purchase?
    You betcha! Head to our draft trailer and canned cocktail bar for some refreshing pours.
  • What happens if it rains?
    This event is happening rain or shine, so come prepared!
  • Will brewery tours be available during the event?
    Unfortunately, tours will not be available on Saturday, October 12th.
  • Where should I park?
    Parking at the Milton Brewery is first-come, first-served. Overflow parking is available at Milton Elementary and Mariner Middle School.
