Meet Our Keynote Speaker: Dr. Jamila Burgess Perritt
We are thrilled to announce that our keynote speaker for the evening will be Dr. Jamila Burgess Perritt, an accomplished Obstetrician and Gynecologist and President & CEO of Physicians for Reproductive Health. Dr. Perritt brings over 20 years of experience in reproductive health, rights, and justice, advocating for equitable access to healthcare for all individuals. Her extensive background includes:
- Fellowship training in Complex Family Planning at Johns Hopkins University.
- Leadership roles with organizations such as Advocates for Youth and Planned Parenthood.
- Serving as co-chair of Washington DC’s Maternal Mortality Review Committee.
Dr. Perritt’s commitment to social justice and reproductive rights aligns perfectly with our mission at BMIP, making her insights invaluable as we continue our work toward empowering Black mothers.
