About the Event

Join us for a delightful weekend exploring historic Lewes and the lower Delaware peninsula! This free event allows you to choose your walking distance, with a total mileage of up to 27 miles over two days.

Saturday Activities

  • Arrive at the ferry terminal by 12:15 PM.
  • Walk 6-10 miles through downtown Lewes, visit local shops and eateries, explore Canal Front Park and Marina, and stroll through Cape Henlopen State Park.
  • Dinner options available with the group or on your own.

Sunday Activities

  • Meet at 8 AM for a 17-mile loop from the ferry terminal to Rehoboth Beach along scenic trails.

Transportation Options

  • Drive directly to Lewes or take a 90-minute ferry ride from Cape May. Free parking is available at both terminals.
  • Ferry departs from Cape May at 10:30 AM on Saturday; arrive by 10 AM.

Accommodations

Explore charming hotels and BnBs in the area or consider camping options. It’s off-season, so prices should be reasonable.
