The 56th Annual Great Delaware Kite Festival is scheduled for March 29, 2024, at Cape Henlopen State Park.

It includes an Easter Egg Hunt at 11 AM, sponsored by County Bank, with 5,000 plastic eggs filled with candy. The kite competition starts shortly after, featuring categories for children, teens, and adults. Entrants compete with homemade or store-bought kites. Additional awards include the highest kite, most senior flyer, and more. The event, co-sponsored by Lewes Chamber of Commerce and Delaware Division of Parks and Recreation, is free, but the park charges a car entrance fee. The Easter Bunny Tea: Live Interactive Show is an all-ages event happening on Sunday, March 24th at the Milton Theatre.

Doors open at 12:30 PM and the show starts at 1 PM. It features tea and live entertainment with Easter characters, including an interactive show where characters sing, dance, and tell stories, engaging the audience. There’s a meet and greet session for photos, and tea is served with fresh-baked cookies. The cast comprises talented regional youth. Tickets are priced between $11.70 and $13.
