The 56th Annual Great Delaware Kite Festival is scheduled for March 29, 2024, at Cape Henlopen State Park.

Get ready for the 56th Annual Great Delaware Kite Festival at Cape Henlopen State Park this Good Friday! A family-friendly tradition filled with colorful kites, candy-filled eggs, and lots of fun!

• Easter Egg Hunt: Kicking off at 11:00 AM, this year’s Easter Egg Hunt is sponsored by County Bank and features 5,000 plastic eggs filled with candy. This exciting hunt is open to children up to age 12, but be sure to arrive early as it fills up fast!
• Kite Competitions: From 11:30 AM, watch children, teens, and adults compete for the title of best kite flyer! Categories include homemade and store-bought kites, with additional special awards such as Most Senior Flyer, Youngest Flyer, and Highest Kite.
• Free Fun for All: All activities, including the egg hunt and kite competitions, are free to participate in! Just bring your competitive spirit and your love for kites!
• Parking & Info: Parking is available at the Beach Parking Lot, with a short transport ride to the event area.

• Limit of 3 Eggs Per Person: Search for up to three eggs with unique prizes, including the ultimate Easter Bunny Basket prize!
• Glass of Wine or Cider: Your ticket includes a refreshing glass of wine or cider while you hunt for eggs.
