The 2025 Passport Program invites you to explore 30 of the most remarkable parks in Delaware, each offering unique landscapes, historical sites, and natural wonders. Complete 25 of the 30 challenges to earn fantastic rewards, including a free 2026 Annual Park Pass and other exclusive park prizes. Discover Delaware’s Most Beautiful Parks

Delaware State Parks are filled with breathtaking landscapes, fascinating history, and environmental wonders. Here are just a few of the many parks you’ll explore in the 2025 Passport Program:

Alapocas Run State Park

Visit Alapocas Run State Park and check out the Ninja Fit course installed next to the Can-Do Playground. It’s a fun way to get active while enjoying the park’s natural beauty.

Auburn Valley State Park

Marvel at the restoration of the 1889 wrought iron Farm Lane Bridge, a striking addition to Auburn Valley that spans Marsh Creek in York, Pennsylvania.

Bellevue State Park

Learn how humans play a role in bird migration at Bellevue, where unique birdhouses are set up to attract various species. A great spot for birdwatching!

Brandywine Creek State Park

Explore the 24-acre Tulip Tree Woods Nature Preserve, surrounded by an ancient stone wall, and home to an old-growth forest that has been relatively undisturbed for over 200 years.

Brandywine Zoo

Check out the Brandywine Zoo and learn about pollinator conservation through a close look at a beehive from May to September.

Cape Henlopen State Park

At Cape Henlopen, explore the butterfly garden created by the Friends of Cape Henlopen State Park and learn more about the role of pollinators.

Delaware Seashore State Park

Fenwick Island State Park

Protecting Delaware’s coastline, Fenwick Island State Park is home to American beachgrass that stabilizes the dunes and prevents erosion.

First State Heritage Park

Behind the John Bell House, you’ll find three unique gardens depicting 18th-century cultures and crops. Each garden provides insight into life during the colonial era.

Fort Delaware State Park

During the Civil War, Fort Delaware housed 33,000 prisoners of war. Explore a replica of the barracks built to hold 200 men at maximum capacity during the war.

Fort DuPont State Park

Built in 1933, the Theatre at Fort DuPont was used for entertainment during the Great Depression. Today, it stands as a historical monument and event space.

Fort Miles Historical Area

Learn about World War II-era artillery at Fort Miles, where you’ll find several 3-inch guns, part of the military defense system at the Point of Cape Henlopen.

Fox Point State Park

Holts Landing State Park

Throughout your journey across Delaware’s State Parks, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in special challenges that will help you experience even more of what these parks have to offer. Complete any 25 of the following challenges to get your rewards:

  • Go on a guided hike
  • Visit a historical museum
  • Volunteer at a park
  • Visit a nature center
  • Attend a park concert or arts program
  • Attend a lantern tour or evening program
  • Go rock climbing at Alapocas Run State Park
  • Attend a fishing or water program
  • Participate in a special seasonal activity
  • Visit a Delaware state-dedicated Nature Preserve

To help you keep track of your progress, download the checklist below, where you can check off completed challenges and stamp your passport!

Rules for the Passport Program:

  • Participants must be in every submitted photo, though family, friends, and pets are encouraged to join in on the fun! If the participant is not in the photo, the entry will not count.
  • When visiting one of the significant park sites, the passport entry must be at the specified location and must be visible within the submitted photo.
  • Duplicate entries for challenges are not allowed and will not be counted towards your progress.
  • All photos and additional required information must be submitted by November 30, 2025.
  • Limited to one annual pass per household.
