You can also try to win big at an arcade game like Skee-Ball or a crane game.
Perfect for a hot summer day, a visit to Jungle Jim’s Water Park is a perfect way to beat the heat. Float around the lazy river, bodysurf in the wave pool, or slide down one of the more daring large water slides. Little ones will enjoy the Kiddie pool and splash area while more fun can be found on dry land in the batting cages of the two mini-golf courses.

Gordons Pond, Rehoboth Beach, Delaware
Gordons Pond is a scenic hiking and biking trail in Delaware. Recently expanded, the trail runs past the pond and into the lush forest. Admire the wetlands and the dunes as they offer picturesque views of the Atlantic Ocean.
The trail is an elevated boardwalk for about half a mile and the two observation points allow the visitor to appreciate the scenery of the stunning landscape.
There are several types of reptiles and mammals in this area. During the summer, the coastline is a nesting ground for piping plovers, a species of shorebird that is threatened.
Junction and Breakwater Trail, Rehoboth Beach, Delaware
With rail-trail history dating back to the mid-1800s, the modern day Junction and Breakwater Trail originally opened in 2003 as a 3.6-mile northbound trail out of West Rehoboth. Extended in 2007, it now runs a full 6 miles to Lewes Beach and Cape Henlopen State Park. There are natural coastal forests and wide open farm fields hidden behind the shopping centers of Route 1. It is a nature retreat for walkers, runners, bikers, and families alike.
The trail features an 80-foot long refurbished railroad bridge originally built in 1913. Along with scenic views of a World War II observation tower and coastal wetlands, this pine-studded crushed stone trail offers a perfect outdoor fitness opportunity near the natural beauty and unique history of the Delaware Coast. Delaware Seashore State Park
One of several state parks scattered inside the First State, Delaware Seashore sits between the Atlantic Ocean where the sun rises at dawn, and the Indian River Bay where it sets at dusk (the Atlantic to the east and the IRB to the west, if that wasn’t clear). And as its proximity to those might imply, it’s one of the great places for water activities.
It’s not a small state park, either, with an area of 2,825 acres, there’s enough space inside for all those activities (and there are a lot of them). Yes, you can camp there, too.

Question: Are dogs allowed on the beach?
Answer: It is illegal for dogs to run at large at any time. The City has both a leash law and a pooper-scooper law which are enforced. Dogs are prohibited from the beach and boardwalk at all times from May 1 through September 30, but are allowed on the beach in Dewey Beach (just south of the RB Boardwalk) before 9:30am and after 5:30pm. They must still be on a leash and have a Dewey Beach Dog License. Dogs are allowed in the state parks. You may want to visit Cape Henlopen State Park in Lewes or Delaware Seashore State Park south of Dewey Beach.
Question: How & where can I drive on the beach?
Answer: Because driving on the beach can cause serious damage to vegetation and wildlife and contributes to shore erosion, Delaware State Parks limits vehicles on the beach to designated surf fishing areas only, for the sole purpose of actively engaging in fishing. To use these areas, you must have a valid surf fishing vehicle permit and be actively engaged in surf fishing at all times while on the beach. To keep our beaches clean and safe for wildlife and park visitors, other recreational beach driving is not allowed. Vehicle access at Cape Henlopen State Park in Lewes, Delaware Seashore State Park south of Dewey Beach & at Fenwick Island State Park south of Bethany Beach. Surf fishing vehicle permits are issued for the calendar year. Visit the Division of Parks & Recreation’s Web site for additional rules & regulations.
